Brilliant, now I can see in my loadspace at night !
These lights are a game changer if you need to access the rear of your Defender at night. Plenty of high light to see whatever is back there. I installed mine a bit differently than their video indicates and thusly avoided some of the disassembly steps they took. I simply removed the existing LED courtesy light and fished a sturdy wire (be sure to tape the ends of the wire so that it does not scratch anything!) in between the headliner and the plastic trim. I found it easier to fish the wire from the courtesy light hole up towards the headliner, but the other way might also work. It only took a couple of tries before I was able to grab the end of the wire. From there is was an easy matter of taping the end to the provided electrical harness wire and gently pulling it through. Removing the stock upper trim piece (the one that gets replaced by the light) is the only piece of trim I had to remove. I will say that I think it's almost impossible not to damage the retaining clips (the ones closest to the rear of the car) of this stock trim piece, but since it's being replaced by the light, it may not matter to you. If it does, they are fairly inexpensive from the dealer to replace if you need to put it back to 100% stock. I think these lights look stock anyway so I doubt anyone will notice. If anything they'll think it's a factory upgrade. When you install the light trim, you do need to spend a bit of time ensuring the attaching points are aligned properly to make sure all of them connect properly and the light trim sits secure and flush like the OEM piece. Easy, 15-20 minute job taking your time the way I did it.
Great addition to the far cavern of a hard top. Can more be made for 110 to site further forward?? Option of yellow/ red light for use at night and insects etc??

Watched the install video which made it a simple fit. Pay attention to the tools used as having them makes life very easy on install. The light generated makes me wonder why these weren’t fitted from factory.
