Warranty & Manufacturer Warranty Information

At Hunters Prestige, all parts supplied and fitted come with a standard 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and workmanship from the date of purchase. For genuine Land Rover parts, we offer a 2-year warranty, in line with Land Rover’s standard manufacturer warranty coverage.

Activation Services & Manufacturer Warranty

We are frequently asked whether activation services (such as software-based feature activations on Land Rover Defender models) affect the manufacturer warranty.

We can confirm that all activation work carried out by Hunters Prestige is performed using genuine Land Rover Pathfinder software and official diagnostic systems only. We do not use any third-party or unofficial software. This ensures that all activations remain within the manufacturer’s intended systems and protocols.

In many cases, the features we activate are factory-intended functions that are already built into the vehicle, but were simply not selected at the time of build specification. These are not aftermarket modifications to the vehicle’s core systems.

Manufacturer Warranty Impact

The standard Land Rover manufacturer warranty typically covers key areas such as the engine, drivetrain, and electrical systems.

Installing exterior or accessory-based products such as:

Side steps

Roof bars

Spoilers

Grille upgrades

Lighting accessories

does not affect or void the manufacturer warranty, provided they are installed correctly and do not interfere with original vehicle systems. These items are considered accessory upgrades and are commonly fitted without impacting warranty coverage.

Similarly, software activations carried out using official Land Rover systems and parameters are not designed to impact manufacturer warranty, as they operate within factory-developed vehicle capabilities.
