Lazer CANNY CAN Interface

The Lazer CANNY CAN Interface is an intelligent CAN-based control solution developed by Lazer Lamps, designed to make the installation of auxiliary lighting on modern vehicles seamless and reliable.

On many newer vehicles, it’s no longer possible to pick up a traditional 12V high beam signal from the back of the headlamp due to advanced CAN communication systems. CANNY solves this problem by reading the vehicle’s CAN data directly, enabling safe and accurate light activation without complicated hardwiring or guesswork.

Smart, Clean & Professional Integration

The system consists of a compact CANNY dongle, dedicated wiring loom, and the CANNY.LZR smartphone app. Designed for flexibility, the unit can be mounted within the engine bay or inside the vehicle, depending on CAN access points. Bluetooth connectivity allows for over-the-air synchronisation and updates, ensuring continued compatibility should manufacturers update their CAN protocols.

For customers who prefer not to splice into CAN wiring, a Contactless Reader option is available, allowing the system to read vehicle data without any metal-to-metal connection.
