Many New Defender owners have found their vehicles unexpectedly delivered with blanking plates in place of the rear power outlets originally shown in their build specification. Our Rear Power Outlet Retrofit is designed specifically to restore this missing functionality with a clean, factory-finish installation.
This retrofit includes everything required to upgrade the rear loadspace area to fully functioning power points, exactly where Land Rover intended them to be. Each kit is supplied with high-quality loom extensions for a seamless plug-and-play connection, allowing the outlets to integrate perfectly with your Defender’s existing electrical system.
Choose the configuration that best suits your needs:
-USB Type-C Ports – Fast charging for modern devices
-USB Ports – Universal compatibility for accessories
-12V Cigarette Lighter Socket – Ideal for cool boxes, inflators, and camping equipment
All options are designed to match OEM fit and finish, ensuring a professional and robust installation.
Whether your Defender arrived incomplete or you simply want to expand its practicality, this retrofit provides the functionality, convenience, and factory-style quality your vehicle deserves.

I guess we were quite fortunate that our Defender only had two blanks in the back, a friend of ours has all four. The two did annoy me though so when these appeared on Hunters site it was a must for me. I wouldn’t have tried to fit them without Georges instruction video. Having fit several Hunter products using these guides I thought for the first time though that the video, for me and my car anyway, made the process look far easier than the reality. Unbolting everything is straight forward but trim tools are required to separate the two centre console side panels. The removal of the blanks and current sockets appeared far more difficult than the video. I found the best way was to use a pick to push in the lug on one side to part release the socket before doing the other side. Overall really pleased with the product and if you are patient then well worth a go.
